ok, a true story here....

In 2000, i had hung up my spurs, so to speak... I decided i was done with Country Music, the whole Nashville "get a record deal mentality..." I decided to visit the grave site of Hank Sr. in Montgomery Alabama.... And sticking to tradition, I did so at midnight (midnight in Montgomery... Alan Jackson) , with a bottle of whiskey...
I found the grave site, and ... well... I was inspired somehow... So I decided to give it "One More Ride"... I wrote the song the next day, shortly thereafter moved to Europe, and started a band with the same name....

We planned two songs for Steffi to sing on the CD... As it turned out, she couldn't stay with the band... About a year before, I remembered this American girl, Tammy Martin, coming up to me at a show at the Kazabra Club at Vogelweh Army Base... I still had her phone number, so I called Tammy and asked if she could help us out... Well, one rehearsal and I heard all I needed to hear.... Tammy was with the band for 3 years, and she still has one of the best voices in music...

Gerd Vogel, Andy Knapp and myself were sittin in the studio in 2004 ??? We were getting ready to lay down some guitar parts.... Gerd was warming up and started playing the dobro to a losin' soul... next thing Andy joined in on the acoustic... then I grabbed a chair and we ran through this song, .... Luckily... the tape was running...
